Kuwait says it has intercepted and brought down six drones in the north and south of the country, in the latest sign of rising regional tension.

The announcement came from Kuwait’s National Guard, which said the aircraft were downed over separate areas of the country.

It follows a statement from the Kuwaiti Army on Monday saying two ballistic missiles and two drones had also been destroyed inside Kuwaiti airspace.
