The US military says it has hit an Iranian vessel it described as a “drone carrier”, claiming the ship is now burning.

In a post on X, US Central Command (CENTCOM) said: “US forces aren’t holding back on the mission to sink the entire Iranian Navy,” as the joint US–Israeli campaign against Iran entered its seventh day.

CENTCOM described the vessel as “roughly the size of a WWII aircraft carrier”, but did not say where the strike took place or provide further operational detail.

CENTCOM also shared video footage it said showed the targeted ship engulfed in smoke after the strike.
