Countries across the Gulf say they are continuing to intercept Iranian missiles and drones as the conflict enters its seventh day, with multiple governments reporting overnight incidents.
Qatar: Qatar’s Ministry of Defence said air defences “successfully intercepted” a drone attack targeting Al Udeid Air Base, which hosts the largest US military presence in the region.
Kuwait: The Kuwaiti army said air defences were working to intercept “hostile missile and drone attacks” that entered the country’s airspace. A Defence Ministry spokesperson said debris from an earlier interception damaged a vehicle, but no injuries were reported.
Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defence said it intercepted and destroyed three ballistic missiles aimed at Prince Sultan Air Base.
Bahrain: Bahrain’s Interior Ministry said a hotel and two residential buildings in the capital Manama were hit, sparking a fire that was later extinguished.
United Arab Emirates: The UAE’s Ministry of Defence said air defences responded to “incoming missile and drone threats from Iran” in a statement issued early Friday local time.
