The United Arab Emirates says it has been targeted by more than 1,000 attacks from Iran, a figure its foreign ministry claims is higher than the combined total recorded by all other countries hit in the current conflict.

In a statement, the ministry said the UAE has not decided to alter its defensive posture in response, but added it “reserves the right” to defend itself.

The ministry also said the UAE has not taken part in the war and has not allowed its territory, territorial waters or airspace to be used for any attacks against Iran.
