Iran’s military command says it deploys a new air defence system on Saturday, presenting the move as part of its response to US aircraft after what it claims are American jet shootdowns on Friday.

The command says Tehran will “definitely achieve full control” of Iranian airspace. The statement signals an attempt to challenge the US and Israeli advantage in the skies after more than a month of aerial dominance during the war.
