The Israeli military has renewed its forced evacuation warning for Beirut’s southern suburbs, raising fears of imminent new strikes across one of the Lebanese capital’s most densely populated areas.

The order covers the whole of Dahiyeh, a sprawling district in south Beirut that is home to hundreds of thousands of people.

Israeli forces said attacks could soon target several neighbourhoods, including Haret Hreik, Ghobeiry, Laylaki, Hadath, Burj al-Barajneh, Tahwitat al-Ghadir and Chiyah.
