Israel’s military has again warned residents in Beirut’s southern suburbs to leave the area immediately.

In a post on X, the Israeli army named several neighbourhoods — including Haret Hreik, Ghobeiri, Laylaki, Hadath, Burj al-Barajneh, Tahwitat al-Ghadir and Chiyah — and told people to evacuate and stay away until further notice.

The southern outskirts of the Lebanese capital, commonly known as Dahiyeh, are densely populated and home to hundreds of thousands of residents.
