Saraya Awliya al-Dam says it carries out five attacks on US bases on Saturday, according to a statement issued by the Iraqi group.

It says the targets include a US site in Erbil in northern Iraq, as well as Victoria Base at Baghdad airport. The group does not immediately set out any details on casualties or damage.

Saraya Awliya al-Dam says the strikes are in response to what it describes as the US and Israel’s killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and to the deaths of its own fighters.

There is no immediate independent confirmation of the group’s claims.
