Multiple Injuries Reported After Israeli Strike on Iran’s Police Headquarters

Several people have been injured after Israel targeted Iran’s national police headquarters in Tehran, according to the Iranian state news agency IRNA. The attack reportedly struck a number of buildings close to the headquarters of the Iranian National Law Enforcement Command, which IRNA described as part of the “continued aggression by the usurping and brutal Zionist regime.”

Israel’s Defence Minister, Israel Katz, claimed that Israeli fighter jets had “destroyed the headquarters of the Iranian regime’s public security,” referring to what he called the main “oppressive branch” of Iran’s leadership. However, CNN notes that it has not been able to independently verify this claim, and no additional details were provided by Katz.

Earlier reports from Iranian state media indicated that an Israeli strike also took place near a Red Crescent facility in Tehran. The National Law Enforcement Command headquarters is located on the same street as the Red Crescent site.
