*Rehousing strain grows in southern Israel as anger turns on ministers

Reporting from Ramallah, Nour Odeh says the cost of the war inside Israel is becoming increasingly visible, with many Israelis now exhausted and frustrated.

Odeh points to video circulating earlier showing National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir visiting one of the sites that has been hit. In the footage, a resident shouts at him and blames him for the destruction, before he is ushered away.

She says more than 1,000 people in Dimona and Arad now need to be housed by the state because so many damaged buildings can no longer be used.

Odeh also reports that authorities have received more than 10,000 compensation claims as the damage bill rises.

She says the repeated air raid sirens continue to shape daily life. For Israelis with access to a shelter or reinforced room, routines are organised around reaching it quickly — and in some cases around staying there.

For Palestinian citizens of Israel, Odeh says the situation is harsher because many do not have the same level of access to protected spaces.

The pressure is clearly building, she says. But while support for Israeli troops appears to be holding, confidence in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is far weaker.
