Lebanon’s army has detained 12 Hezbollah members after rocket and drone launches from Lebanese territory towards Israel, according to local media reports, as judicial authorities ordered the pursuit of those responsible.
The Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation (LBCI) said the detainees were held at a military checkpoint, without giving further details. Hezbollah has not commented publicly.
Al-Jadeed TV, citing unnamed security sources, reported that the Government Commissioner to the Military Court, Judge Claude Ghanem, issued orders to arrest those behind the launches.
The reports said the army set up a checkpoint on the Msayleh Road in Sidon district to inspect vehicles returning to southern Lebanon, and tightened checks at the Awali checkpoint in Sidon for traffic heading south.
