Reporting from Tehran, Al Jazeera’s Tohid Asadi says Iranian officials are pushing back against US claims about momentum in the war, insisting it will be Tehran that determines how long the conflict continues.
According to Asadi, Iranian officials say the country’s armed forces are prepared for a war of attrition and a potentially prolonged confrontation.
He said US–Israeli strikes have continued across Iran in recent hours. While visiting one of the targeted areas in central Tehran, he reported hearing air defences activating nearby.
At the same time, the IRGC is signalling that it intends to continue retaliatory attacks, claiming it is using increasingly advanced weaponry.
