Iranian state television says a first message from the country’s new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is due to be released shortly.
In a post on Telegram, the broadcaster said the statement had been issued in seven key sections and would address a range of matters, including the late supreme leader, the responsibilities of the public, the armed forces, state institutions, the so-called resistance front, and countries across the region, as well as what it described as confronting Iran’s enemies.
It is not yet clear whether the message will be delivered in a video, published as a written statement, or exactly when it will appear.
