BREAKING From: Live: US and Israel attack Iran as Trump declares “major combat operations”

CENTCOM rejects reports of US warplane downed over Kuwait

The US military says claims that Iran has shot down an American fighter jet are false.

US Central Command, known as CENTCOM, says reports circulating online about a US aircraft being brought down over Kuwait are “not true”.

In a post on X, CENTCOM accuses the Iranian regime of running a wider “disinformation campaign”.

It says false claims about US aircraft being shot down have appeared repeatedly across different platforms, sometimes alongside what it describes as fake or misleading images.

CENTCOM’s position is unequivocal. “To be clear: No US fighter aircraft have been shot down by Iran,” it says.
