Iran's military has dismissed a new US plan to curb ground shipping, CBS News reports.
The plan is Task Force Iron Gate, which US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Saturday 7 November. It aims to stop Iran moving advanced weapons and other materials across its land borders and the Caspian Sea, widening the US blockade beyond Iran's sea routes.
It is not yet clear who in Iran's military responded or exactly what was said. The reaction has not been independently checked.
CBS News has said it is unclear whether any military force will be used under the task force.
