Aid Deliveries to Gaza Remain Far Below Urgent Needs

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to worsen, as the number of aid trucks entering the enclave remains drastically below the levels needed to address widespread hunger and soaring prices.

According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, just 85 aid trucks entered the Strip on Tuesday—most of which were reportedly looted—failing once again to meet the minimum daily requirement of 500 to 600 trucks, as outlined by both local authorities and the United Nations.

Since humanitarian access was partially restored, the target has never been met, exacerbating the starvation crisis and deepening desperation among residents.

Here’s a breakdown of aid truck entries over the past two weeks:

  • Sunday, July 27: 73 trucks

  • Monday, July 28: 87 trucks

  • Tuesday, July 29: 109 trucks

  • Wednesday, July 30: 112 trucks

  • Thursday, July 31: 104 trucks

  • Friday, August 1: 73 trucks

  • Saturday, August 2: 36 trucks

  • Sunday, August 3: 80 trucks

  • Monday, August 4: 95 trucks

  • Tuesday, August 5: 84 trucks

The continued shortfall has contributed to a rise in looting, black-market prices, and starvation, with aid groups warning that immediate and sustained access is critical to prevent further catastrophe.
