The OBR expects "no real earnings growth in 2027", PA reports, citing the watchdog's Economic and Fiscal Outlook.
PA also reports that the OBR forecasts household disposable income to fall in the near term. By 2030-31, it is forecast to be only 2% above pre-pandemic levels.
The Guardian reports that the OBR described a "pretty grim picture" for living standards.
These figures add to the OBR forecast reported earlier by The Telegraph. That forecast has real household disposable income per person falling by 0.4% a year on average in 2026 and 2027.
