All seven Budget measures put to a formal vote in the Commons on 3 November were agreed, according to the Commons Library. The other ways and means resolutions passed without a division, and the Finance Bill 2026-27 was then read a first time.
The Library gives these results:
- Increase in the income tax rate for property and savings: 337 ayes to 180 noes
- Increase in the bank corporation tax surcharge rate: 420 to 105
- Cut in the lifetime limit of Business Asset Disposal Relief: 348 to 176
- Employment visa charges and non-taxable benefits: 414 to 106
- VAT at the standard 20% rate on public electric vehicle charging: 324 to 88
- Increase in alcohol duty rates: 331 to 181
- New High Value Council Tax Surcharge on high-value properties: 327 to 161
