The Institute for Fiscal Studies will give its initial response to today's Budget at an online briefing on Thursday 29 October, running from 10:30 to 12:00.
The event, titled 'Autumn Budget 2026: IFS analysis', will cover government finances and spending, and taxes and benefits. It will be streamed on YouTube, with questions taken through Slido, according to the IFS.
Ahead of the statement, the IFS says war in the Middle East has pushed up government borrowing costs and means inflation will be higher than expected in the spring. It says both will affect the OBR's forecasts.
The IFS has also opened an Autumn Budget collection page for its coverage.
