The content is a feed of Persian-language channel posts from @Masaf (Masaf Institute, linked to Ali-Akbar Raefipour), all dated 17 Aban 1405 (Sunday, 8 November 2026). Seven hard-news claims were checked against current sources. Six were confirmed: the Tehran refinery flaring caused by an electrical fault, Susie Wiles leaving as White House chief of staff, Richard Walters leaving as deputy chief of staff, Alireza Yousefi's 263 kg clean-and-jerk world record with gold in that lift and silver in the total, the Houthi attack on the King Abdullah Financial District that damaged an Aramco building, and a Democrat winning North Carolina's 9th Congressional District (held by Republicans since 1963). The seventh, the Jeffrey Sachs quotation, is still Unverified: the same wording appears only in Iranian state-aligned media, and the original English source was not found. Several framings are misleading or could not be verified. Menashe Amir is labelled a 'Mossad spy', which is unsupported; he is an Israeli Persian-language broadcaster. The BBC is called the 'state network of England', and an analyst's opinion is presented as a 'confession of Israel's defeat'. Most of the remaining material is opinion: the Raefipour interview, the attack on Iran International and the 'political death of Netanyahu' framing. No claim was rated False.

What checked out (9)

• Flame and smoke over south Tehran came from flaring at the Tehran Oil Refinery after electrical/technical problems; the refinery said no fire broke out in its process units and fuel production continued (refinery PR office via Mehr News, Fararu; Reuters-sourced reports via Arab News, 8 Nov 2026).
• A sudden power cut stopped refinery activity and led to more flaring (Bourse Press citing the refinery, 8 Nov 2026; matches the Fars attribution in the post).
• Susie Wiles stepped down as White House chief of staff; Trump named Stephen Miller as her successor (ABC News, Washington Post, CNBC, The Hill, Al Jazeera, 6 Nov 2026).
• White House deputy chief of staff Richard Walters is leaving the administration, the first major departure after Wiles (Axios scoop, 8 Nov 2026). Note: Axios says 'leaving'; Masaf calls it a resignation and a 'wave of resignations', which is rhetorical framing for two departures.
• Alireza Yousefi lifted 263 kg in the +110 kg clean and jerk with his third attempt at the World Weightlifting Championships in China. The original English video or transcript was not found, so the exact wording is Unverified.
• The Bahman Kalbasi (BBC Persian) post is attributed but not independently located. Its substance largely checks out (seat held by Republicans since 1963). However, 'Trump won by 15%' does not quite match the ~16 points that mainstream sources report. 'Officially won an hour ago' is stale: the race was projected and conceded on 4 Nov, but Masaf republished it on 8 Nov.
• The Menashe Amir clip: what he said could not be verified, and the label 'spokesman and Mossad spy' is unsupported. Reference sources describe him as a long-serving Israel Radio Persian broadcaster and former editor of the Israeli Foreign Ministry's Persian website.
• The Salour Malayeri clip on BBC (Nazi-Germany analogy; 'regime change project' results) was not located. The headline's 'confession of Israel's defeat on the British state network' could not be verified and is an editorial characterisation of one analyst's opinion.
• The claim that Iran International is running a 'project' to legitimise US/Israeli war crimes and attacks on residential areas. This is an opinion/propaganda assertion; no specific broadcast was identified or assessed.
• Raefipour's evaluative claims (the Islamabad understanding served the US goal of capping oil prices; 'absolutely no macro strategy'; officials' errors can no longer be put down to negligence) are opinion and cannot be verified as fact. The Charsoogh interview itself appears to exist (an aggregator headline matches), but the full text was not reviewed.

Medium (0.70) — Confidence in the six verified news items is high. Each was corroborated by several independent, dated sources from 4–8 Nov 2026, across opposing outlets (for example, Mehr and Iran International agree on Yousefi; Reuters/AFP and the refinery statement agree on the flaring). Overall confidence is lower for three reasons. A large share of the content is opinion that cannot be verified. Four attributed media clips (Sachs, Menashe Amir, Malayeri/BBC, Iran International) could not be traced to their originals. And the evidence came from search extracts rather than full page renders or primary results documents such as IWF records.
