The US embassy in Jerusalem will be closed from Wednesday to Friday due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, CNN’s Kaanita Iyer reports.
In a statement, the embassy said all US government staff and their families have been instructed to remain sheltered in place in and around their residences until further notice.
Consular services in Tel Aviv will also be suspended during this period.
The embassy added that there are currently no plans to assist private US citizens in leaving the country. Israel’s main international airport and seaports remain closed, it said.
