Israel Detects Fresh Wave of Iranian Missiles

According to CNN, Israel has detected another wave of missiles launched from Iran, less than an hour after an earlier barrage. Air raid sirens have sounded across central Israel, including in Tel Aviv, where explosions were heard as air defences attempted to intercept incoming projectiles. The attack occurred at around 1:33 a.m. local time.

Citing Israeli military officials, CNN reports that Iran launched around 10 ballistic missiles, most of which were intercepted. However, Israel’s Fire and Rescue Service confirmed reports of missile impacts in several parts of the country.

Emergency crews responded to a direct strike on a residential building in Israel’s central district, as well as reports of shrapnel damaging a second home in the north. Fires have also broken out in open areas as a result of the strikes.

No casualties have been reported so far, according to Israel’s emergency services.
