Just 769 aid trucks have entered Gaza in the past nine days — far short of the 500 to 600 trucks needed each day to meet basic humanitarian needs.
According to figures shared by Gaza’s Government Media Office with Al Jazeera, an average of only 85 trucks per day have been allowed in since 27 July.
The shortfall highlights the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in the besieged enclave, where the healthcare system is on the brink of collapse and aid distribution efforts continue to fall drastically short.
