Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has released a video and accompanying photograph, alleging to depict Hamas members surrendering to Israeli forces in Beit Hanoon, northern Gaza. The video, apparently aerial footage, shows three individuals emerging from a heavily damaged area, kneeling, and raising their hands. A separate image displays three unarmed men reportedly wearing only undergarments.

Katz stated in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that the individuals were ‘emerging from the tunnels into the destroyed city’ and that the Israeli military was ‘destroying both above- and below-ground targets.

The reported surrender comes amidst ongoing Israeli military operations across the Gaza Strip. The authenticity of the video and photograph has not been independently verified.
