Paternity pay for self-employed fathers is among the measures already announced ahead of Wednesday's Budget, according to a Reuters factbox published on 27 October.
Reuters lists it under 'announced measures', alongside higher tax-free mileage allowances and an end to the carers' earnings cliff edge.
Retailsector, drawing on the Times, reports that self-employed fathers would receive two weeks of pay at up to £194 a week. No cost or start date has been given for the policy.
The £194 a week and two-week figures have not been independently checked.
