The Chancellor, John Healey, has ruled out any changes to the so-called 60% 'tax trap' for higher earners, the Telegraph understands.
The report comes from the Telegraph's Tony Diver in a post on X. The Treasury has not confirmed it.
It is the latest reported ruling-out ahead of the Budget, which Healey delivers to the Commons on Wednesday 28 October. Like other pre-Budget briefings, it remains a report until it is confirmed in the statement or by the Treasury.
