The 10-year gilt yield fell to 5.25% at one point in the week of the Budget, a five-week low, according to a markets report by Briefs.co that draws on Bloomberg material. That is below the 5.33% reported here at the close on Budget day.
Briefs.co says the yield is heading for its biggest monthly fall since May.
It also reports that Citigroup strategists raised their view on gilts to overweight on Friday 30 October. According to the report, they expect gilts to outperform other major developed bond markets.
The same report cites a Bloomberg Economics estimate that the 10-year gilt carries a credibility premium of about 20 basis points. That is roughly one fifth of the level in the weeks after the 2022 mini-budget, according to the estimate.
These figures come from a secondary report. The underlying Bloomberg and Citi notes have not been independently checked.
