Helen Whately, the shadow pensions minister, has called on the Chancellor, John Healey, to give immediate assurances on pension tax changes ahead of the Budget on 28 October.
Speaking at the Pensions UK Annual Conference, Whately said assurances were needed to stop people making irreversible decisions about their pensions.
