A Reform UK local elections campaigner whose tanning salon was visited by Nigel Farage has been exposed for sharing posts praising Adolf Hitler and denying the Holocaust.
Aaron Taylor, 33, had been planning to stand as a candidate and previously served as a branch treasurer. Social media posts uncovered by the anti-racism organisation HOPE Not Hate show Taylor expressing admiration for the Nazi leader, including writing “heil Hitler” online and questioning the reality of the Holocaust.
In one now-deleted post from October, Taylor responded to another user by claiming that “the greatest deception of all time” was the idea that the Nazis were evil and that the Holocaust happened. In another, he suggested that “the winners of the war lied” about Hitler. He also shared content referencing the Nazi leader as “the Austrian painter” and reposted material promoting so-called “white pride”.
The revelations come as Reform UK continues to poll strongly ahead of the upcoming local elections, with Farage positioning the vote as a test of Prime Minister Keir Starmer and his government.
Joe Mulhall, director of research at HOPE Not Hate, said the findings were deeply concerning, arguing that such extreme views raise serious questions about the type of individuals drawn to the party.
Taylor had been actively campaigning for Reform UK in recent weeks, frequently posting about his involvement and describing himself as a “proud” member and volunteer. He shared images of visits to party headquarters and meetings with senior figures, including Robert Jenrick and Zia Yusuf.
He also posted photos earlier this year showing Farage visiting his Essex based tanning business, Sun Spa 11 Ltd.
However, his public campaigning contrasted sharply with his earlier online activity. Before recently changing his username, Taylor had posted multiple messages endorsing Hitler and engaging in racist rhetoric. Some of the content remained visible until recently, while other posts have since been deleted.
When approached for comment, Taylor said he had been removed from his role within Reform UK. He confirmed he had previously served as treasurer for the party’s Harwich branch but stepped down around a month ago following a disagreement over comments he had made prior to joining the party.
